Orthodontics, the oldest specialty in dentistry, is devoted to the correction and prevention of irregularities of the teeth and jaws. While treatment usually starts in the childhood or adolescent years, adult treatment is also very common, representing approximately 30 % of our practice.

An Orthodontist must first graduate from an accredited university dental program and recieve a minimum of two additional years of training and education at the masters degree level. Certified specialists in orthodontics devote all their time and training to their specialized form of dental care; they do not perform general dental procedures.
